🧊 What’s the difference between gelato & sorbet?
Gelato is a creamy Italian-style frozen dessert made with milk, cream, and natural flavourings. Sorbet, on the other hand, is completely dairy-free — made only with fruit, water, and sugar. Both are churned slowly for a smooth, velvety texture, but sorbet is lighter and more refreshing, while gelato is richer and silkier.
🍦 What’s the difference between gelato & ice cream?
Gelato contains less fat and air than traditional ice cream, which means you taste more of the real, natural flavours. It’s served at a slightly warmer temperature too, giving it that signature dense, melt-in-your-mouth texture. Ice cream feels heavier and colder, while gelato feels more luxurious and flavour-forward.
🫙 Why is our gelato covered & not in display freezers?
We keep our gelato covered in stainless steel pozzetti tubs — the traditional Italian way — to protect it from air, light, and temperature changes. This preserves the texture and flavour integrity of our natural ingredients. It’s not just for looks; it’s how true artisanal gelato is meant to be stored.
🎂 Why don’t we have bubblegum or birthday cake flavours?
We don’t use artificial flavourings, colourants, or additives — and flavours like bubblegum or birthday cake simply don’t exist in nature. Our menu celebrates real ingredients like pistachio, lemon, coconut, and seasonal fruit. If it’s not naturally delicious, it’s not La Cremosa.
✨ Why don’t we have sprinkles?
We prefer to let the quality of our gelato shine on its own. Sprinkles often contain artificial colours and additives that don’t align with our natural philosophy. Instead, we use authentic toppings like roasted nuts, chocolate shavings, or fruit compotes — all made in-house.

Absolutely! We love using what’s in season to keep our menu exciting and fresh. You’ll always find a few classic staples, but expect limited-edition flavours that change with the weather and available produce.
