They need to soak themselves up in the culture of being Xhosa so that they can still maintain that gift that is so unique to the Eastern Cape Musicians.
She believes in Buyelekhaya, her heart goes out to the people that are unable to connect with their families because family for her is community, community is the most important thing.
So being from Noordspoort where she originates from, she is very in touch with her people back there. For her, being around her people makes her music authentically Xhosa very familiar with the Xhosa dialect and people she loves being in Eastern Cape. Being a recipient of the Buyelekhaya 2016 Music Award, she was able to connect with her Xhosa Culture.
